In the mean time … here are some fun things I’ve been up to!
1. Sun moon lake sunrise run! Still training for my half marathon in may 🏃♀️ 2. Took my grandparents on a mini trip to wulai, this is the cutest photo ever 🥹 3. Visiting my dad 🤍 4. Not photographed … Dom and I struggling on this row boat 😂

Not only did we restock the whole line... I am also so excited to FINALLY introduce TWO GAME CHANGERS to your kitchen - meet Sizzling Black Pepper Sauce and Everyday Garlic Oil!
🔥 Sizzling Black Pepper Sauce: Ok … YOU NEED THIS SAUCE! This sauce is your go-to for a savory punch with a bold kick of freshly cracked black pepper at its core! It was inspired by my dad’s favorite night market dish - Black Pepper Steak! It is tangy, spicy, and packed with flavor, and it’s perfect for anyone who loves a little extra sizzle in their life. Drizzle it on steaks, toss it with veggies, or stir it into your stir-fry!
🧄 Everyday Garlic Oil: IF YOU LOVE GARLIC … THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! Infused with fresh garlic straight from Taiwan … IYKYK!! This versatile oil adds a rich, aromatic touch to just about anything. Whether you’re cooking up noodles, sauteeing veggies, or making a dipping sauce for your dumplings, it’s guaranteed to take your dishes from ordinary to extraordinary with just a drizzle. P.S. This is perfect for those who hate chopping up garlic but still want that flavor!
ALL SAUCES ARE 100 % VEGAN FRIENDLY NO ARTIFICIAL FALVOURS MADE FROM SCRATCH IN TAIWAN
SHOP @ kaidongfoods.com I can’t wait to hear what you think AND THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCH for your support!!!
To my amazing dad, my best friend, my idol, the person who makes me laugh the most, the person who made me love food like no one else, and the person I love so much that my heart aches so much just thinking about him.
My dad passed away peacefully on 8/22 in Taiwan. It was the most challenging day of my life. He was surrounded by family; as we held his hand, he took his final breath and fell asleep. I’d be lying if I said I was ready - I would never be ready. If it were up to me, I would want to spend the rest of my life with my dad.
My dad never let cancer define him. He was so much more than that. He was kind, funny, smart, thoughtful, and the best dad I could have ever asked for. He was my inspiration and the reason why I love food so much. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think about him.
My dad was a fighter. No one would have ever guessed that he has been battling stage 4 cancer for the past five years. Having chemo every other week, endless treatments… But somehow, he always had a smile on … because, for him, he could endure anything as long as he was with the people he loved. My dad was so brave and so selfless.
The truth is that we were always living on borrowed time. Deep down, we always knew we were racing with time… so we traveled, ate, laughed, cried, loved, and most of all, we lived the best five years we could have asked for, appreciating every little moment.
There is still so much more I wish my dad could have seen and spent with me. But I know he’s always by my side. There are days when it feels like I’m living in my worst nightmare, but I know grief is the price we pay for love … it only hurts so much because he loved us so much, and we loved him so much.
I love you, Dad. I miss you so much. Words can’t describe how much I miss you. But I know one day, we will be reunited again. Until then, do everything you always wanted to do, eat all the yummy food, and once in a while, visit us in our dreams and tell me about all your fun adventures.
I can’t wait to see you again, and I love you so much.
I wanted to come on here and say a big thank you. I know that these past couple of months, I have had so many exciting projects launching, such as kai dong and my cookbook, and I want to say a very big thank you for all your love and support.
I am not sure if you have noticed, but I haven’t done a brand deal in almost 4 months now. I have never been one to do brand deals unless I truly use them or believe in them. I want to make sure I am fully aligned with the brand before I take on ANY brand deals. To me, nothing is more important than your TRUST.
These past couple of months, I also very specifically didn’t want to crowd your page with “ads” and for you to feel like all I was doing was “selling” to you because I never want you to feel that way!
To my community, I want to say a very, very big thank you. Thank you for allowing me to make my dream come true and really bring my dream of bringing Asian cuisine, specifically Taiwanese food, to your doors! Starting kai dong has been a dream come true, and seeing my baby come to life has been surreal to me.
Since every sauce and condiment in Kai Dong was developed by me from scratch, it takes so long for things to come to life. That is also why I am so proud of it and use it so often. We are working really hard in the back end to restock, develop new products, and hopefully launch internationally one day.
I also want you to know that you don’t need to EVER buy my products to support me! Just watching my videos and trying my recipes is the kindest thing you can ever do, and for that, once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH from the bottom of my heart. Your messages and comments always make my day, and you are the reason why I get so excited to share my recipes and film every day.
As a big thank you, I am currently working on a few FREE e-books featuring dipping sauces, marinade, and salad dressings for the summer (just finished last Friday!!) that don’t feature kai dong so you can also make it at home. And also have a few more free guides coming soon! I also always make sure I don’t only include kai dong recipes, and every week you will get other recipes from me, or in a long-form video, you will also get multiple different recipes from me.
I am going back to Taiwan for a family emergency soon awhile to be with my family, so I will make sure to have a bunch of recipes ready for you and share yummy foods in Taiwan while I am there. I am also VERY excited to vlog in Taiwan and share with you more yummy food and recipes :)
Thank you all so much, love you so so so much.
Love,
Tiffy
P.S look at the sneak peak of the free ebook coming up 🤭
I WAS ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA TODAY TO CELEBRATE THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF MY COOKBOOK 😭❤️🫣
MY FIRST EVER COOKBOOK IS OFFICIALLY OUT, featuring 88 recipes from my family to YOURS ❤️
After 3 years of hard work, lots of sweat, and tears, I am soooo excited for you to try these recipes and flip through the pages.
There are 4 different sections in the cookbook.
🥘 QUICK AND EASY ALL DAY - These are staple recipes that are constantly on rotation in my daily life. They feature easy-to-find ingredients and are perfect for busy home cooks who want to prepare delicious meals without spending hours in the kitchen.
🍲 FAMILY STYLE DINING - Here are some of my favorite large shareable entrées that are easy to make at home. These are the kind of classic Taiwanese large entrée dishes that you typically see at large gatherings, or 請客 ging ke, paired with rice, noodles, or enjoyed on their own. They are so delicious and crowd-pleasing that your friends and family are going to think you ordered from a restaurant. In fact, why not share my cookbook with them like a menu and let them pick and choose what they want to eat!
🥟 MAKE IN BULK - Prepare these bao, wontons, noodles, and dumplings in bulk. All these recipes are freezer-friendly and will save you tons of time throughout the week. You know how Asian grocery stores have frozen foods sections where you’ll see lots of dumplings, buns, and noodles? Think of this as like having your own frozen food section at home!
🍰 DESSERT AND DRINKS - To be honest, desserts are not my area of expertise. So when I say that these dessert recipes are foolproof, I mean it! These refreshing desserts are traditional, but with my own twist. These are the recipes I have up my sleeve whenever I’m hosting dinner parties, because you always need some dessert.
Thank you so much for your love and support, I wouldn’t have this amazing opportunity without you, and for that, I am forever grateful to you!
I can’t wait to see your recreations, and PLEASE send them to me so I can share them with my grandma!!!
