Chris Shanku | Moth StorySLAM Winner

I tell true stories on stage.

Hey, I'm Chris Shanku. I'm a dad, a Moth StorySLAM winner, and I'm in recovery. Most of what I know about connection I learned from telling the truth out loud to strangers and finding out I wasn't the only one.

I believe that our stories are how can best connect with other humans, reminding us that we have way more in common than we realize. And for me, a series of events is an anecdote - a story requires transformation.

This page is dedicated to all the stories I tell on stage for The Moth, a nonprofit storytelling org dedicated to celebrating human commonality and diversity.

In addition to telling my own stories, I also run two additional storytelling channels:

The Quill - lost stories from history, the human moments the record skipped over. Researched and told by me. @TheQuill-Stories

The Little Feather - gentle bedtime and adventure stories for little kids, made for my 5-year-old and shared with yours. @TheLittleFeatherStories, and on Spotify.
