Artists Are Cultural Heroes!!! I believe that artists have played an essential role in creating the world we all live in. Kinda like super heroes who save the world from doom, artists help the world communicate through the creation of art. And like heroes, art takes millions of forms too. AND I for one love to make art with a ton of different materials- lately I'm obsessed with the art of repurposing items that would end up in the landfills or on the endless shipments to be recycled...or to use the trending term: UPCYCLING! And I teach these techniques to my art students on a regular basis:)
