Today, I am a healthy, productive mother of four.
However, this wasn't always the case...
Formerly, I was a 380 pound severe alcoholic suffering from multiple drug addictions, fibromyalgia, morbid obesity, sex addiction, and six debilitating mental health diagnoses.
There is hope beyond waking up at 2am with the shakes and the sweats because your body is craving alcohol. There is hope beyond taking 20 percocet and 10 morphine per day and endangering the lives of yourself and others. There is hope beyond giving your body away to whomever will provide you with the substances your body craves. There is hope beyond not being able to walk farther than a city block because you're so heavy your joints can't tolerate the impact.
There is hope beyond costant counseling and 20 years of mental illness drugs where the take away message is: you are incapable of recovery.
You are capable of recovery in mind, body, and spirit. Join me on this raw, honest, sometimes painful journey to wellness.
