The singer-songwriter is the reflection of her music, a rich mixture of styles. Besides her Ivoirian and Belgian origins, she feels a deep connection with Latin America and more specifically with Brazil. In 2019, she was lucky enough as to know this country that she has always been interested in. This encounter made this magical bond even stronger. Brazilians even call her « la belga de alma brasileira » (the Belgian with a Brazilian soul).
She likes traveling to discover the world, to find inspiration but also to learn about others and about herself. Shelby sings and composes in French, Spanish, English and Portuguese, her “language crush” that she specifically learned by herself to sing. Her songs evoke themes such as self-acceptance, liberty, (self-)love, diversity or the pursuit of happiness.
