MODERN TAHTIB video channel concerns the most recent update of the millennium Egyptian Battle Staff. It includes videos about the events, the story, jousting and combat, the practice, the codified series, etc.
Initially used in Ancient Egypt for about thirty centuries, as one of the Egyptian army martial discipline, the Egyptian Battle Staff has been described in details since the Vth dynasty (-2600 B.C.). It has then been developing during the recent twenty centuries in the Upper Egypt villages all along the Nile River as martial and festive game, called “Tahtib, stick game”. Now an update of this ancient practice is building up ad an educational martial sport.

Modern Tahtib brings four main changes: Transmission method, sportive dress and the Egyptian Vth dynasty belt, at last an open door to women, combat as it was in the battlefield 5000 years ago.
