Skadulyn
Skadulyn, formerly known as Pyplyn, is an Afrikaans musical duo from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, consisting of Ignus Kritzinger and Dirk Crafford. The two rooted their musical beginnings in the sounds of Leonard Cohen, Koos Du Plessis, and Simon & Garfunkel – artists known for their poetic depth and introspective lyrics.
What began as a passion for authentic, lyric-driven music quickly developed into a mission: to give a voice to the silence they experienced in contemporary Afrikaans music. Skadulyn takes a strong stance against the superficial use of English in Afrikaans songs purely for commercial appeal. They are proud to call themselves 100% Afrikaans – not just in language, but in heart and soul.
