Soluna Samay represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012

Soluna Samay has won the 2012 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the song 'Should've Known Better', which means she will represent Denmark at the 57th Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan this year.

"'Should've Known Better' is so beautiful. It touches people's hearts," says 21-year-old Soluna Samay.

The heart-felt song complements Soluna Samay's own brand of 'gypsy pop' and the lyrics resonate with her unconventional upbringing.

Born in Guatemala to Swiss and German parents, and raised in Denmark, Soluna Samay considers herself a 'world citizen'.

'Should've Known Better' was created by four of Denmark's best-known artists: songwriter and producer, Remee; rapper and experienced Eurovision Song Contest artist, producer, Chief 1; and rap group artist, Isam B from Outlandish and A Suleiman
