We are a group of scientists affiliated mainly with the University of Ostrava. We are doing research on noncanonical structures of nucleic acids and their interaction with proteins. We are using a powerful combination of molecular, biophysical, and bioinformatics methods. Our goal is to shed more light on understanding the role of these protein-DNA interactions in severe disease progression.

Petr Pečinka is a Group Leader and experienced associate professor at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Ostrava, Ostrava, Czech Republic.
