"पूर्वज" (Pūrvaja) meaning "Ancestor" in Devanāgarī is a one-man musical project founded by Rahul Das in 2013 originated in Hyderabad, India.

With various influences from genres like Black metal, Vedic metal and Grindcore, Pūrvaja tries to combine the elements required to reflect on its lyrical themes based on Vedic culture, Philosophy, Mythology and other related theologies.
