Remember the spoon?š Great news! My fave collagen(or should I say the company that makes it) just launched a liquid SLIM collagen for healthy weight management, metabolic balance and joint, hair, skin, nail and digestive health. If you want to improve the unwanted aches and changes that come with aging and menopause and get a metabolic boost to help remove some unwanted fluff dig out those spoons!

Health anxiety anyone? Itās super common in peri & post menopause and for good reason. Hormone fluctuations affect the autonomic nervous system(that controls things like breathing, your heartbeat and digestion and keeps your fight or flight and rest & digest in balance). When estrogen drops itās no longer efficient at keeping the balance in check and your body becomes much more sensitive to every little change(and there are many in menopause).
EVERY little pain, flip flop, odd noise in the ears, dizzy spell, muscle ache, zap and so on sets off the alarms, cortisol and anxiety rise, you start questioning what horrible health issue is causing your discomfort and it spirals from there, over and over again with each new or reoccurring symptom. Itās horrible!
Controlling symptoms and calming your nervous system can help. If you can use hrt give it a go. I canāt! Bummer! Take a high quality collagen to reverse or at least control the discomforts and internal and external changes that come with collagen loss(there are many). This is not the area to try and save money! Repacing collagen can make a huge difference so invest in an effective one. To calm and balance the nervous system try hydration, slow breathing, gentle movement, clean eating, humming or singing, grounding or weighted blankets. There are many more things you can try. Those are a few. Iām still looking into this myself. Itās a work in progress but if you deal with any type or amount of menopause anxiety you know itās worth the effort to control it. I hope this helps!ā¤ļø

The body wide pain that often comes with peri and post menopause can be brutal and life altering. Iāve been there. Barely able to get out of bed some mornings. Guess what Iāve accomplished in the last couple of months? Iāve been carrying super heavy bags of laundry to and from the laudromat(10 minutes each way ON FOOT) because our laundry room has been out of service for months. Iāve done several Costco and mall runs where Iāve been walking around for hours and carrying heavy bags up and down the mall. Iāve moved furniture, removed heavy ac units out of the window, cleaned and rearranged the house for hours and loaded and unloaded the weekly groceries without extreme difficulty or discomfort. No way could I do all that even 5 months ago. My discomforts have improved about 65-70% and I can function again. The truth is that we all lose collagen as we age and when estrogen declines in midlife that collagen loss jacks up big time and really messes us up. Collagen is the figurative glue that holds us together. Every joint, muscle, tendon, ligament, the skin, gut and more depend on it so replacing it as we age(especially in menopause) is vital. A high quality collagen supplement can make a huge difference! You get what you pay for truly applies here! Not all collagen supplements are created equal! Iāve wasted a lot of money over the years. If youāre struggling with aches and discomforts in midlife I highly suggest investing in a good, clean collagen supplement that checks all the boxes for quality and effectiveness. If youāre interested in the collagen I use Iāll leave the details in the comments. The affiliate link is included if you want to check out the website.

Menopause(peri & post) is relentless! I havenāt been very present lately because Iāve had a very concerning couple of weeks thanks to menopause. One of the worst things about menopause is constantly having to check whether the unwanted symptoms are actually menopause related then anxiously waiting, sometimes for weeks for the results. Torture! The new collagen supplement has squashed about 60% of my aches and pains and Iām grateful and better able to function again but it didnāt stop the strange sensations in my chest which of course led to an er visit, a referral to a cardiologist, a stress test, an echocardiogram and a cardiac nuclear stress test and ct. Iāve been beside myself with worry for the last week and a half waiting to hear from the doctor. Luckily everything is fine with my heart. Thank the Lord! Do you deal with the torturous cycle of tests and waiting for results?

I searched for months for a comparable collagen when my trusted one became unavailable because the body wide aches and discomforts that came with menopause have been unbearable and my old collagen was the only one that actually worked. I finally found a new one that Iāve been taking for a month now and Iām happy to report that itās working. YAY! I was feeling improvements at the 2 week mark and now a month in the aching has improved that much more. I can function again. The muscle and joint soreness isnāt gone but itās about 60% improved and Iāll take it. SNOW COLLAGEN IS A KEEPER! Nitro is next on my list to try. It blends molecular hydrogen and nitric oxide precursors to help with clean lasting energy(which I desperately need), improved circulation and oxygen flow, focus and cognitive function, mitochondrial and cellular support and gut and inflammatory balance. If itās as good as the collagen Iāll be well on my way to feeling good. You can access information on the collagen and Nitro below and the affiliate link if youāre interested in trying them for yourself. boards.com/a/rPhkC.FgiKNd

Each video takes about 20 hours to make start to finish and I couldnāt find that many free hours this week to create content. Iāll get back on track and upload next week. Much love and have a great week.
