What if musicals were the key to time travel?

✨ Me and Majsan, all smiles in front of *FLOWERS FOR MRS. HARRIS*, the best musical I saw in all of 2024 💐🎭. This throwback pic, the oldest on my iPhone, was snapped on December 8th at Wermland Opera in Karlstad, Sweden 🇸🇪. We’d come to see Niklas Riesbeck’s stunning direction—he’s truly one of Sweden’s two greatest musical theatre directors (the other? Markus Virta, of course) 🌟.

Majsan stands to my right, radiant at 60 in her navy jacket and glasses, clutching the floral program 🌸. I’m there in my acid green beanie 🟢, sequin hoodie 💙, graffiti-puffed jacket 🎨, white jeans 🤍, and dark green sneakers 👟—serving accidental street couture 😎.

We’d started the day early—Martin (who took the photo) and I met at Stockholm Central 🚆 and took the train to Karlstad. It was a Sunday, so we stumbled into a church service ⛪ (not my usual vibe 😅) before meeting Majsan at the vegan-friendly spot Zest 🥗. Martin, ever iconic, stripped in the church courtyard to change into jeans he’d just bought 👖😂.

The third image shows the glowing auditorium just before curtain-up 🎟️, with a dreamy cross-stitched scene of Paris—Eiffel Tower and Seine in pastel pink and turquoise 🌆🪡. The story, about a British cleaning lady turned couture icon, fit perfectly among seamstresses and dreams 💭🧵.

Ever wondered what goes on in a day in the life of a vlogger who edits videos, writes vegan songs (with a little help from AI), battles glitchy apps, and somehow ends up dropping pizza on a white rug? This is that day 🍕🤦‍♂️💻

In this video, I kick off the morning in my cozy Stockholm apartment, editing my Instagram Stories from yesterday to repurpose across all my platforms—YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. I upload, write descriptions, and share the oldest photo on my iPhone (a daily tradition!), then erase it to keep things fresh and nostalgic 📲🧼✨

I even test out an AI songwriting tool (Suno.com) to help me pen a quirky tune about being vegan and another about aglio e olio. Spoiler: it's surprisingly catchy 🎶🧄🌿

Instagram decides to act up—again—forcing me to upload Stories before I can download them. So now I have to dive into the Archives to save them. Classic Instagram drama 😅

Later, Ulf and I hit up IKEA, where I get a TV bench called BAGGEBOR that I creatively repurpose into a plant console. The screw count? Astronomical. But the final result? Perfection 🌿📦

I squeeze in a sweaty crosstrainer workout, feel saintly, and of course Google whether there’s a Saint Joachim (there is—Jesus’ grandfather! 🕊️). Then it’s time to shower, pick up a package, and bike over to Ulf’s for a wine-filled evening and a few birthday surprises, including the cutest golden squirrel bowl 🎁🐿️

The evening wraps with me watching *Hacks* alone (Ulf always falls asleep early 😴) and biking home under the stars ✨🚲

What if your oldest photo told a story you forgot to finish?**

This quiet, moody snap was taken on November 27, 2024. It’s me, tucked into one of the plush red seats at what I think is a smaller stage at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm. The moment is still but warm—the kind of hush just before a show begins. And yet, I have no memory of what we were watching.

All I have is one note in my calendar: *THEATRE WITH MAJSAN*.

Majsan is sitting beside me in this photo (off camera, but unmistakably present in the memory). She’s a part-time pensioner, a child wrangler at Stadsteatern, and one of those forever-theatre-folk who just never stop showing up. We met years ago when she was working on *Karlsson på taket*… or maybe *Rasmus på luffen*? We reconnected in *Så som i Himmelen*, where she again wrangled tiny stars and I dressed the big ones backstage.

I’m wearing that great chunky ERDEM x H&M sweater I scored on Tradera—honestly, I haven’t worn it much since, but in the moment, it felt perfect. You can see how the deep red and soft wool echo the room around me. There's something poetic in blending into the theatre you love.

There’s no program saved. No photo of the stage. Just this: a picture, a sweater, a friend. And yet, when I look at it now, I feel everything. The joy of shared silence. The anticipation of a curtain about to rise. The comfort of sitting next to someone who’s part of your history—even if neither of you quite remember which story you were there to see that day.

Maybe that’s the point. Theatre isn’t always about what you saw. Sometimes, it’s just about being there—with people who love it as much as you do.
