Here is a portion of my personal statement:

I started playing baseball when I was six years old and that was because I loved watching the New York Yankees with my father! I’ve had the goal to play college baseball for as long as I can remember and I’m continuing to pursue my dream.

I have been playing competitive travel baseball for six years. My primary position is catcher but I’m also a right-handed pitcher. Playing catcher allows my leadership to shine through. Please note I am in it for the team therefore willing to play any position that will put my team in a position to succeed.
