Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, R&B singer/songwriter Holly Monroe, born Shanpriale Holland first rose to prominence in the early years of the 1990s when she enrolled into music and dance classes at the early age of 4. Monroe later joined the Florida Ballet where she continued to develop as an artist and musician. In 1994 she contributed vocals to several tracks as a member of the MC CHI CHI THE GIRLS AND BOO group.
