RJ Karun, an Engineer-turned-Big FM RJ-turned-Social Worker.
In a medium like radio where the RJ speaks and the listeners hear, Karun decided to make it “I speak, you listen, together we work towards a social cause” to bring people together for several social initiatives through this powerful medium- the radio.
He has successfully contributed towards the growth of several villages, education of several thousand children and supported several other welfare schemes to bring about a change in the society.
Through his radio shows, Karun has built toilets for 65 families in 3 villages, and has played a crucial role in providing books for 12000 children in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu to create friendliness between a book and a child. Through an initiative called IRU KAI PURATCHI (Largest Hand Wash Campaign), for the first time, children with special needs set record in the Asia Book of Records.
