Du Nico born on the outskirts of London and grew up into the early acid house scene,

Du's first introduction into dance music was with early hip hop beats, electro and the Chicago house sounds by Farley Jackmaster Funk, Grand Master Flash, BDP, Mantronics, Marshall Jefferson, Robert Owens and from then on, Du loved the electronic sounds.

He then got heavily involved in the acid house scene in London with musical influences coming from DJ's such Paul Oakenfold, Andy Wheatherall, Jeremy Heally, Danny Rampling, Carl Cox, Nicky Blackmartket, Adamski who at that time were pioneering the new sound, this new sound inspired Du so much that he got his Technics 1210's, mixer and records and preceded to learn the art of mixing, this lead to playing at a host of illegal raves, clubs and boat party's across London and S.E England.
