The Palakkad Obstetrics and Gynaecological society (POGS) is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation affiliated to the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FOGSI), India. From a humble beginning as a club for scientific deliberations among the gynaecologists in Palakkad, it transformed into a formal society in 2024. POGS is registered as a society with the Government of Kerala, as per the govt rules and regulations and approved bylaws. The formation of the society was possible because of the persistent efforts of Dr Swapna C S and Dr Emy Globin. It has now evolved into a vibrant society with more than 80 members from the district of Palakkad. With this channel we hope to create a platform for connecting with the medical fraternity and for sharing and discussing issues relating to reproductive health that may be useful for the public.
