Dr. Seth Bordenstein

Seth R. Bordenstein, Ph.D. is the Huck Endowed Professor of Microbiome Sciences, Director of the One Health Microbiome Center, and Professor of Biology and Entomology at The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA. He was the founding director of the international, discovery-based, science education program, Discover the Microbes Within! The Wolbachia Project (wolbachiaproject.org). His lab’s research optimizes, applies, and advances microbial symbiosis as a foundational and unifying pillar to understanding the biosphere and translating that knowledge to positive outcomes for vector control and human health disparities.
