Michael Sokil

Michael Sokil is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in studying, recreating, and teaching The Beatles' music, focusing on the distinct styles of John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

While studying at Georgetown in 2007, he launched one of YouTube's earliest music channels, "mjsokes." His instructional videos and Beatles recreations amassed millions of views, landing him in YouTube's Top 10 Most Viewed music channels at one point. After a hiatus, he revived his YouTube presence during COVID-19, gaining millions of new views and 20,000+ subscribers.

Mike balances a career in public affairs with his passion for music. He co-hosts, produces, and edits the podcast "Gear, There and Everywhere" and is a former U.S. Navy officer, four-time marathon runner, and long-suffering Philadelphia sports fan.
