Backcountry Custom Canoes is a high performance ultralight skin on frame canoe maker. Using a proprietary process developed over 100 boats, frames and prototypes and more importantly paddled in 1000’s of backcountry lakes the Backcountry Custom Canoe is purpose built for the riggers of wilderness canoe tripping. Each BCC boat is custom designed, shaped, and handmade for the client to suit their particular requirements. With weights that compare favourably carbon fibre, prices similar to Kevlar, and a vintage aesthetic that is reminiscent of wood canvas, value is at the heart of this unique brands philosophy. Our on going relationships with clients provides direct feedback on the boats, but more importantly creates a bank of shared canoe tripping knowledge. Our diverse group owners all share BCC’s simple, refined approach to canoe tripping.....and we think that's incredibly cool.
