MANHAKIM
MANHAKIM was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 2000. His parents, both natives of Sierra Leone, West Africa moved over to the US in 1999 in pursuit of their American Dream. His love for music started off at very young age. Family members can recall MANHAKIM performing Cassidy’s ‘Im A Hustla’ for hours on what seemed like an everyday basis. From writing songs with friends, to just having freestyle sessions, Hakim always found himself involved in creating music for fun. During college more opportunities opened up for MANHAKIM to begin to recording his ideas down on beats. MANHAKIM has always had a love for the afrobeat/reggae sound, but also had a love for alternative/rock sounds as well. Storytelling is a very important attribute to the world that I believe we can all benefit from…” Enjoy listening to the deep thoughts and emotions of MANHAKIM.
