I'm on a personal quest to get healthy and fit, but I realised I could help others by sharing my journey and workouts as there isn't much available for anyone who doesn't fit the 'norm' in terms of exercising.
I post workouts that are accessible to overweight people, people with disabilities, seniors, surgery recovery, asthmatics, COPD, people with limited mobility etc. I'd love for you to join me and become a part of my journey too.
Together we are stronger, together we can do it! Join me!

Hello, I'm just editing a workout for release this week, I usually add music to it, but what do you prefer? Music or no music?

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for all the support on my video last week.
Although I haven't been on YouTube for months, I've been fairly active over on Insta, checking in on my workout days and sharing bits of my life. One major thing - I've been going to the gym consistently since Dec, yay! I'm feeling really great about that and I will start recording those new workouts for YT within the next few weeks, so please hang on a little longer 🧡
Hope you are all doing well! I've missed you, can't wait to catch up soon. xxx

I've definitely been feeling so much more myself recently. It's amazing the difference that the right clothes make. I know I keep harping on about this, but since getting my colours done I've felt so much more confident in choosing the right clothes for me. It will take a while to build up my wardrobe, but I'm so happy with the items I've got so far. Day to day I'm still a leggings and t-shirt type of girl, cos it's practical, but I'm trying to be more mindful of my outfits that I put together. Fashun isn't something that comes naturally to me, so I really have to make an effort, and when I do I feel great.
Isn't this jumpsuit adorable! I'm really getting into them. I've linked it here for you: go.magik.ly/ml/1gwtj/ (Affiliate)
My parents are here from the UK for two weeks, so I haven't been able to film much. I do have an Amazon swimsuit haul coming that I'm really excited about, so please look forward to that next week. Hope you are all having a great week! See you soon my lovelies!

Hello!
If you did the 28 day challenge - did you enjoy it and would you like me to make another one? I would use different exercises of course. And if I did it and enjoyed it, comment and let me know if you watched the video each day and found it helpful, or would rather have a written program to follow (no daily video).

Trigger Warning: Miscarriage/D&C
.
.
My husband and I have been trying to have a 3rd baby for over a year now. Last May I miscarried very early, and last week I miscarried again at 9 weeks. I had a D&C procedure on Friday to remove any tissue left in my uterus.
Both times I found out that I was pregnant I was filled with joy and excitement, and when I miscarried I expected to feel sad and depressed, but those feelings never came.
This is a sensitive subject to talk about, not because I’m sad, but because I’m not. There is an expectation of grief when you have a miscarriage. I am supposed to feel sad. I find myself feeling guilty for accepting condolences for my loss. I’m not putting on a brave face or being strong. I’m OK and I feel bad for not feeling worse. It doesn’t seem right to feel fine, when so many people don’t, but it is OK to be OK and it’s definitely OK to NOT be OK. All feelings are valid.
There is no right or wrong way to experience miscarriage. Around 10-20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage. I think this helped me to process my miscarriages, but I recognise that there’s a myriad of reasons why miscarriage affects others more profoundly (multiple miscarriages, infertility etc.). I just wanted to let you know that however you deal with it is OK and you are not alone. Sending love to everyone one who has gone through it.

Trigger Warning: Miscarriage/D&C
.
.
Just wanted to let you all know that the D&C procedure went well. Was at the clinic at 5am, procedure at 6am, and released by 7.20am. Everything went smoothly, and am now at home resting. Thank you all for your well wishes. I appreciate you all so much. I'm going to rest up for the weekend, but will be back next week, as long as I'm not procrastinating. Lol.
Side note: Some of the footage for day 25 was corrupted, so I wasn't able to edit it into a video. Urgh. Sorry!

TRIGGER WARNING/TMI : Miscarriage
.
.
,
Yesterday I was supposed to be announcing my pregnancy to you. I had just turned 9 weeks and had my first prenatal appt. with my OB in the afternoon. But things didn't work out like that.
When I woke up yesterday I found blood in my underwear and when I went to the loo a clot the size of a quarter came out. Immediately I was filled with that feeling of dread. I tried not to panic as I Googled whether this meant miscarriage. I was reassured that many women bleed during their 1st trimester (some quite heavily) and still go on to have healthy babies. As my appt. was in the late afternoon I tried to put my mind off it and was relieved that the bleeding had stopped after the initial gush that morning.
Of course my appt. was over an hour late, but I finally saw the doctor at 4:30pm. I told her about the bleed and she brought in an ultrasound machine. She was able to locate the sac, but unable to see anything more. She did transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasounds, but wasn't able to see a heartbeat/fetus.
That meant waiting overnight to have another ultrasound with an ultrasound technician this afternoon. I had pretty much let go of any hope and was expecting the worse. The tech was also unable to find a heartbeat. When she measured the sac, it was only just over 6weeks. I knew my dates were correct, so this meant that for some reason it had become unviable around that time.
My husband and I are hugely sad. We've been trying for a third baby for over a year now and were so excited to welcome the latest addition to the family.
Of course there were/are more complications because of my blood clot. That's why I wasn't put on thinners with the initial superficial clot, and why I've been injecting myself twice a day with lovenox (it doesn't cross the placenta). My doctor decided that it will be best for me to have a D&C procedure so they can manage the bleeding more. That's booked for Friday.
As of right now, I'm starting to bleed a lot more, with larger clots. My stomach is cramping, it feels like minor period pain at the moment. Emotionally I'm OK. Friday will probably be rough.
Thanks for reading. (As for the challenge, I'll post up to day 25, but will not be able to complete it myself. Sorry!!!)

OK, so I'm sorry I've been terrible at updating you all. I went back to ER last week because I was experiencing more pain in a different area of my calf. The ultrasound at ER confirmed that I now have DVT extensively throughout my right leg. They immediately put me on blood thinners. I went to see a vascular surgeon on Fri. I'm not a good candidate for surgery ATM, so he recommended compression stockings and another ultrasound in 6 months.
My leg swelling has gone down for the most part, and I'm not really in much pain anymore. I even managed a 2 mile hike on Sunday which was brilliant as I was afraid I was going to be in too much pain with walking.
Anyhow, I just wanted to update you all on that.
As for the 28 day challenge, I have already filmed up to day 25, but haven't been able to film the last 3 since finding out about the DVT. I have one more thing to check at the doctor today, and depending on what the result is I will try to finish filming the last few days. Thanks for all your comments and checking in with me. And to all of you stll doing the 28 day challenge - You are AWESOME!

I haven't updated you all on here for a while. I tend to use Instagram more for everyday updates, so if you don't already, please follow me over there.
A couple of weeks ago I went to ER because of a sudden pain in my leg. Turns out I had a superficial blood clot (less serious than a DVT). I've been trying to recover from it, but it seems like it's getting worse, so I need to see a specialist about it. Aside from that, I'm doing well. I'm a little hesitant to film the last few days of the 28 day challenge since the pain has gotten worse and my leg has lots of swelling, but I will keep you posted and will definitely do my best to film it.
I'm so glad to see a fair number of you have been logging into the daily challenge and working out with me. That's so brill. Are you noticing that you are getting stronger? I definitely felt it in my arms/chest. My lunges are still pretty wobbly, but I'm getting lower and lower which is so amazing to see.
Hope you all had a fab Valentine's day. My husband and I don't really do anything, so I bought myself some gorgeous pink tulips

Resolutions. I can't say I've ever taken my new year's resolutions seriously. They were something I promised myself over the first few days of the new year and then they were promptly forgotten. This year I resolve to do better! Here we go
Start drinking at least 50oz water a day again
Eat one vegetarian dinner/week
Do Sober January
Purposeful movement 3/week
My goals are measurable and achievable which means I have a fighting shot at actually keeping them this year. I’m also working on visual aids (posters/trackers) to keep me focused on what I want to achieve.
I know that resolutions are not for everyone, and that's OK. Everything is not for everyone. Some people may find them triggering or too stressful, especially if they are of the *new year, new me* type. I know my resolutions are health (mental/physical) specific, but that’s what I need for the year. Did you make any resolutions? What are they and how will you achieve them?
