I just got done watching Young Frankenstein (1974) on DVD and it was a Mel Brooks masterpiece! I loved it. The best Gene Wilder film, along with Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

I finished watching The Gift (2000) on Paramount+ this morning and I thought it was a pretty good movie. Why not count thrillers for Halloween spooky season? It is a supernatural thriller, so I don't see why not. It centers on a single mother in rural Georgia who becomes involved in a local missing person case after she experiences a psychic vision. Sam Raimi's direction was decent. Billy Bob Thornton wrote this movie, which turned out not bad. The acting was good. Cate Blanchett, Keanu Reeves, J. K. Simmons, Gary Cole and the late Michael Jeter were all good in this movie. Overall, The Gift is solid. Not to be confused with the 2015 movie with Jason Bateman. I liked that one too.
Fun fact: The picture of Michael Jeter at the premiere of the film is the same one used at the end of the credits to The Polar Express (2004), when the film was dedicated to his loving memory. May he rest in peace.
