I, Dr. Usha Grover worked as an officer In-charge and Lecturer in Special Education at the National Institute for Mentally Handicapped, Regional Center New Delhi till July 2014 (now known as NIEPID).
At present, I am working as Director at NGO, which is a special school and vocational training center for individuals having developmental disability.
After obtaining Post Graduation degree in Education I had undertaken a one-year intensive course in Special Education at the University of Birmingham, UK in 1984. There after i obtained my PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi in 2005. Besides training in Intellectual disability, I am a certified guidance counselor and has also undertaken a certificate course in learning disability.Have presented papers in national and international forums.Have written few books and contributed many chapters in various books and teaching resource material of IGNOU,RCI and SCERT.
