跆拳道 TAEKWON-DO - simply translated, the first character means "kick", while the second character can mean either "punching" or "fist" and the last character means "method" or "way". Therefore, Taekwondo literally translates as: "The way or method of destroying with the hands and feet".

跆拳道 TAEKWON-DO is a Korean martial art.

In 1955 a group of masters and Korean dignitaries met, and the name Taekwon-do was submitted as the official name of the Korean art of self defense.

In 1956, Jhoon Rhee introduced Taekwon-do to the United States and consequently became known as the "Father of American Taekwon-do".

In 1991 at the age of 11 I started Taekwon-do and have been active since. This channel is a video journal of my time in the art - I hope you find it entertaining, educational, and enjoy it.
