Chen Xi (陈曦), a native of Tianjin, was born in January 1991 to a musical family. She began studying classical guitar at the tender age of 5 and won her first local guitar competition 4 years later and have since graduated from the Tianjin Conservatory of Classical Music in guitar.
She is one of the most popular classical guitarists in China today, having won numerous major domestic and international guitar competitions, including the seventh Thailand International Guitar Competition and the third Singapore International Competition.
Known an outstanding creative performer, she have creatively adapted many well-known works, incorporating elements of Chinese folk instruments such as Guzheng, Pipa, Erhu and other instruments into her repertoire. Her performance combines an enthusiastic performance style and a meticulous arrangement grounded in technical proficiency which has earned her a strong following in China.
