Farm Robotics Challenge

The Farm Robotics Challenge is the global student design competition where teams work with real farmers to build robotics, AI, and automation solutions for production agriculture. Organized by UC ANR Innovate and the AI Institute for Next Generation Food Systems (AIFS), the Challenge gives students hands-on experience solving real on-farm problems while preparing for high-impact careers in ag tech.

Each season, teams from around the world prototype and field-test technologies for planting, weeding, harvesting, pest management, mapping, data collection, and more. Top teams earn recognition, prize funding, and opportunities to connect with growers, investors, and industry leaders.
