About Six Acres Homestead
Empty nesters on our third year of our homestead journey.
We moved to East Texas after selling our suburban home of 15 years with the goal of a simpler and more self sufficient life.
We share our evolving daily life as we level up our homestead skills - growing & raising our own, farm to table cooking, sourdough experience, caring for the land, and raising farm animals - goats, chickens, geese.
Learn with us, celebrate with us, and at times struggle with us as we follow God's calling to be good stewards of the land and strive to provide a legacy for our son.

We haven't posted a video in at least a week and we miss all of you! How are you?
We've been going through an usual busy time and haven't been able to edit. We hope to do that this weekend. In the meantime ..our life in pics:
1. Our son moved back home! 🤗
2. Pizza sauce in progress
3. Tomatoes are backing up on the counter and we have been canning/preserving as much as possible. Nick also picked the first pumpkin by mistake 😁
4. Our Sebastopol goslings keep growing and getting prettier by the second.
5. We had to treat Val for bumblefoot this week. Here she is getting an Epsom salt soak.
