ALCATUNE
ALCATUNE is an instrumental band inspired by post-rock, dark ambient and shoegaze soundscapes. Their sound features a wide, powerful aesthetic punctuated by minimialistic, extraterrestrial elements.
With two studio album's, one EP and a number of singles released to date, including a track featured in the 'Refuge One' compilation from Ripcord Records (Glasgow) and colaborations with artists from different countries, the band has come along way from its birthplace, 5 years ago, in the bedroom of Portuguese composer and multi-intrumentalist, David Lopes. Songs like “It Is A Good Death” or “Coleraine” from the debut EP “Half As Much But Twice As Elegant” and more recently on the single "Swallowed by Berlin" demonstrate the band's intention to integrate and experiment with shoegaze and synth elements.
ALCATUNE enter in 2025 with a clear direction of where they want to go in terms of sound design and exploration, with a new album set for release in early 2026.
