Growing up in the care system, Ric felt a calling to share his story through music, painting an unfiltered picture of a creative care leaver, free from stereotypes and statistics.
He has performed at Glastonbury, Boomtown, and Lovebox.
Shared the stage with hip-hop legends like De La Soul and The Pharcyde with his rap collective, Jungle Brown.
In 2022, Ric founded Mantra Music CIC, the world’s first record label dedicated to care-experienced artists.
In 2023, his commitment to supporting young people from care backgrounds was recognised with the Inspiration in Music Award from the Music Producers Guild.
Recently, Jungle Brown’s track ‘Keep It Movin’ was featured in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen.
