Flans is a true icon of Latin pop. Since their debut in 1985 with “Bazar”, Ilse, Ivonne and Mimí captured a generation as the first female pop group in Latin America. With “No Controles”, they crossed borders reaching MTV and Billboard, paving the way for Latin music. Albums like 20 Millas (1986), featuring the hit “Tímido”, and Luz y Sombra (1987), including “Las Mil y Una Noches”, broke sales records and consolidated their success across Latin America and the U.S.
Beyond music, they set fashion trends with Códice Flans and became a cultural phenomenon. After separations and reunions, they returned with albums like Hadas (1999), IIM (2001), and Primera Fila (2014), the latter achieving Gold and Platinum status.
Today, Ilse and Mimí celebrate 40 years of music with major surprises: the remastered vinyl of their debut album, the brand-new single “Si Mañana es Nunca”, and an international tour in 2026 that reaffirms their legacy.
