Our mandate - "men always ought to pray" Luke 18:1-14
Prayer format (lead by Holy Spirit - Matthew 6:9-13): Given to us by Jesus in the Lords Prayer
1. Enter into thy closet/secret place -- Psalm 91:1
2. Refrain from repetition -- Matthew 6:7
3. Glorify God and give him praise -- 1 Chronicles 29:11-12
4. Thank Him for all that He has done -- Colossians 4:2
5. Ask for forgiveness while forgiving others -- 1 John 1:9
6. Pray for the grace to withstand evil and temptation -- John 17:15
7. Pray for the staying power to overcome sin and transgression -- Romans 6:12-14
8. Give God His honor and reverence -- Colossians 3:17
9. Make scriptural declarations according to God's will for what you are praying about -- Job 22:28
We pray from a position of authority and dominion through the victory of Jesus Christ shed blood on calvary.
