Following What Unfolds
As my healing journey continues, I notice something I didn’t expect:
Even when I have a sense of where I’m being led, I don’t always know how it will take shape.
When I first felt a spark of curiosity around spiral breath, it was simple.Just an interest.
Something I wanted to explore for myself.
I didn’t imagine it would grow into a full Breath of Remembrance series.
And I didn’t fully see how it would begin to open into something deeper—like the somatic breath sessions I find myself moving into now.
There is a direction I can feel. A quiet knowing of what may be next. But the details don’t arrive all at once. They reveal themselves as I move.
As I practice.
As I stay with the work.
And in that process, something else is happening.
As I allow the breath to move through my body — not directing it, but letting it pass through and settle — I begin to notice subtle changes.
A deeper sense of grounding.
A different kind of listening.
I’m learning to trust my body more.
Not as something I need to guide — but as something that is already guiding me.
That trust isn’t immediate.
It builds slowly.
Through showing up.Through paying attention.Through allowing the experience to unfold, rather than trying to define it too quickly.
It feels like following small breadcrumbs.
Not random — but not fully mapped either.
Each step clarifies the next.
And while I may sense where this path is leading — into deeper layers of breath, into spaces I don’t yet fully understand — I’m learning that I don’t need to see the whole picture to continue.
For now, it’s enough to stay with what is here.
To listen.To follow.To allow.
There is a quiet trust forming in that.

Welcoming the Year of the Horse
The Year of the Horse invites movement, courage, and momentum —
but only when the breath leads.
This isn’t the kind of momentum that comes from pushing or forcing.
It’s the kind that emerges when the nervous system feels steady enough to move.
The simple rhythmic breath I’ve shared here is meant to support that readiness —
preparing the body for forward motion without overwhelm, so action can arise from steadiness, not pressure.
As I step into this new cycle, I’m noticing how the work I’ve created continues to build on itself.
Each piece leads naturally to the next.
Each offering teaches me something — a new skill, a new rhythm, a deeper way of listening.
For me, momentum isn’t about rushing ahead or having everything figured out.
It’s about allowing creation to unfold — learning as I go, and letting each breath inform the next step.
My intention for this year is simple:
to continue the work, one breath at a time.
I’m curious — what intention are you carrying into this new cycle?
Is it movement? Courage? Clarity? Gentleness? Or something you can feel but not yet name?
If you’d like to move with the Horse’s energy — grounded, responsive, and alive —
the breath shared in these slides is an invitation to begin, or return, whenever you’re ready.
You’re welcome to save this, share it, or come back to it when your body says yes.

Breath of Stillness — Reflection: 17th Entry
A Message Arriving at the Right Time
When Lunar New Year happened to fall on the Family Day long weekend and Valentine’s Day in 2026, we were given a rare opportunity to celebrate together — good food, warmth, and unhurried company.
I was at my sister’s house for the New Year’s Eve gathering, and she had a “Lucky Money Tree” — red envelopes hanging from its branches, each containing a small amount of money and a quote.
I chose one.Or perhaps it chose me.
Inside was five dollars and a message that felt unexpectedly personal:
Nhân làm người.Bản lĩnh tài năng nên sự nghiệp.Nhân hòa được độ tạo thành công.
Meaning:
Character shapes who we become.
Courage and talent build the path.
Harmony is what allows success to form
I wasn’t searching for guidance that night. But the message seemed to find me anyway.
In recent weeks, I had quietly begun wondering whether my work — the meditation journals, the podcast, the breathwork guides — was resonating with anyone at all.
When you sit alone in your “office,” creating something from sincerity and devotion, and then release it into the vastness of the internet…and there is little feedback — sometimes none — you begin to question.
Is this landing anywhere? Is anyone listening? Is this worth continuing?
The silence can feel louder than criticism.
So when I opened that envelope and read those words, it felt less like a fortune and more like reassurance.
Character.Courage.Harmony.
Not visibility.Not speed.Not proof.
The message didn’t promise success. It reminded me of foundation.
If the character is steady,if the courage remains,if the work is done in harmony rather than force — success forms in its own time.
It felt like a quiet confirmation to keep going. To continue creating from integrity rather than reaction. To trust that resonance builds differently than noise.
I am grateful for that reminder.
Sometimes encouragement doesn’t arrive as applause. It arrives as a folded slip of paper in a red envelope — just when you needed it.

Closing the Year of the Snake — A Breath for Release & Integration
The Year of the Snake taught us quiet transformation. Not the kind that demands attention — but the kind that happens slowly, beneath the surface.
Before welcoming new momentum, we pause. We integrate. We release. We shed what no longer fits.
This breath practice is an offering for closure — not through force or effort, but through soft completion.
A Personal Reflection
For me, this year asked something very real.
In January 2025, I closed my studio.
It wasn’t an easy surrender. There was grief. There was uncertainty. And there was the question I didn’t know how to answer at first:
Who am I without the container I built?
What I discovered surprised me.
By shedding what I no longer needed to carry,I didn’t lose capacity —I gained it.
I found I could hold more:more space, more clarity, and deeper alignment with the work I’m here to do.
Once I stepped into the flow,it wasn’t as hard as my mind imagined.
The body already knew how to let go.
The Closing Breath (Snake Shedding / Completion Breath)
The breath shared here supports the nervous system in finishing a cycle —allowing the body to land before movement begins again.
You don’t need to name what you’re releasing. You don’t need to analyze it.The body already knows.
This breath is for moments of transition, thresholds, and gentle endings.
Reflection
Before the next cycle begins, what are you ready to release?
What no longer needs to be carried forward — even if it once mattered deeply?

Breath of Stillness — Reflection: 16th Entry
One Year of Surrendering to the Unknown
A year ago, on January 31, 2025, I closed the doors to the yoga studio.
It wasn’t dramatic.It wasn’t sudden.But it was final.
I remember standing in the quiet afterward — the kind of quiet that doesn’t rush to fill itself.
No class schedule.
No keys to turn.
No next thing waiting.
What came next wasn’t clarity.
It was space.
Wide.
Quiet.
Unmapped.
I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. There was no clear instruction, no inner voice handing me a plan.
So I did the only thing that felt honest at the time:I took it one step at a time.
I let go of needing to know where it was all going and let my intuition lead instead — not in loud declarations, but in small, almost ordinary choices.
There was a lot of not-knowing.Moments of doubt.Moments of trust. And many moments where the only guidance was simple and subtle:
Keep listening.
Listening to the body.Listening to the quiet shifts in energy.Listening for what felt alive — even when it didn’t yet make sense.
One afternoon, almost unexpectedly, a thought arrived.
A podcast.
It came softly — not as a calling, but as a suggestion.
I remember feeling surprised. And then amused. And then thinking,oh… why not.
And that’s how Season One was born:The Path of Remembering — A Journey of Awakening.
Not because I had it all figured out — but because something wanted to move, and I said yes before overthinking it.
Not everything I planted this year bore fruit.
I created online courses with genuine care — believing they might support others — and no one showed up.
That was hard.
Not devastating, but tender.
The kind of hard that invites you to question yourself without offering immediate answers.
Navigating the online world is its own initiation — learning what works, what doesn’t, and more importantly, what belongs to you rather than to algorithms, trends, or expectations.
But even that wasn’t wasted.
Those courses taught me.They shaped my voice. They clarified what matters to me and how I want to share it.
And now I can feel how they may return — in different forms, as in-person workshops, as embodied experiences, as offerings that needed time to mature beyond the screen.
Some things don’t fail.
They wait.
With my grid snowflake work, I felt the same quiet truth.
Instead of pushing forward out of momentum or obligation, I chose to pause.
Not because it wasn’t aligned — but because the timing wasn’t fully here yet.
This year has taught me something subtle, but essential:
- How to sense when to spend energy and when to let it shimmer quietly in the field.
- How to trust that not moving is sometimes the most intelligent choice.
- How to distinguish between readiness and urgency dressed up as motivation.
As I step into year two of surrender, I trust my intuition more deeply now — not as something mystical or dramatic, but as a steady companion.
Slowly, without forcing it, new forms are beginning to take shape.
I’m currently tending the next season of the podcast — Living in Rhythm — alongside an interactive meditation journal, and a book that’s been asking for patience more than speed.
None of these feel rushed.None of them feel finished.
They feel like continuations — threads emerging from the same listening that carried me through this year.
I’m learning to let creation arise from steadiness rather than urgency, and to trust that what’s forming knows its own timing.
I know that what is meant for me will not pass me by.
I feel more open — to deeper connection, to creating from the heart rather than from pressure, to walking forward in my authentic self without needing to rush the unfolding.
Nothing here feels hurried.
Nothing feels forced.
Just listening.Breathing.
And allowing life to meet me exactly where I am.
Somatic Pause (Optional):
If it feels supportive, pause here for a moment.
Let the body settle.Notice where you feel most steady right now.
Ask gently — without needing an answer:What is still forming? What is ready to emerge in its own time?
Take one slow breath.
No fixing.
No planning.
Just being with what is.

Breath of Stillness — Reflection: 15th Entry
On Backbone, Satellites, and Learning Where Energy Belongs
Lately, I’ve been noticing something subtle in my body. Not stress exactly. Not overwhelm.
More like a quiet alertness — a readiness to respond. A sense that many things are asking for attention at once, and that I can hold them.
The book.The breath recordings.The reflections.The number posts.The visuals.The planning.The next thing.And the next.
All meaningful.All aligned.All alive.
What I didn’t notice at first was how evenly I was treating them — as if everything carried the same weight, the same urgency, the same claim on my energy.
There wasn’t a voice saying hurry or don’t stop. It was quieter than that. More like a background hum that said:
there’s room for this too… and this… and this.
Because I could hold many things, I assumed I should. And so I did what I’m very good at doing — I organized. I gave each idea a place. I opened my calendar and assigned days. I created containers so nothing would be lost.
And slowly, without realizing it, I began looking for things to fill the remaining spaces.
Not from panic.From capacity.
What I started to notice, though, was what kept getting moved.
The deeper writing. The slower work. The backbone pieces — the ones that don’t rush, the ones that ask for spaciousness rather than slots.
They weren’t disappearing. But they were being deferred.Shifted.Saved for “later.”
And my body felt it. Not as exhaustion — but as a kind of thinning.
Like too many satellites in orbit without enough gravity at the centre.
When I paused long enough to listen, my body offered a quiet distinction.
Some work is a backbone. It carries weight over time.It holds structure. It asks to be returned to again and again.
Other work is satellite work — beautiful, expressive, necessary — meant to orbit,to respond, to play.
Both are valuable. But not all at once.
And not all with the same urgency.
I noticed something else too. When I stay with the backbone for a while — the deeper writing, the slower breath, the long-form remembering — something steadies inside me.
And when I stay there too long, my system doesn’t burn out. It gets curious. It starts to crave lightness. Movement.
A different kind of creativity. Play isn’t a distraction from the work. It’s how the work breathes.
What I’m learning is that this rhythm isn’t something to solve or optimize. It’s a conversation to stay in. Creation doesn’t want to be finished all at once.
It wants to move in waves.
Write.Rest.Play.Return.
Stillness has been teaching me that the urge to complete everything often comes from fear — not from readiness.
Fear that the vision will disappear.Fear that space means loss.Fear that if I don’t hold it all, something important will slip away.
But nothing meaningful is actually asking to be forced. So I’m practicing something quieter now. Letting the backbone hold first. Letting the satellites arrive only when there is space for them to orbit freely.
Not everything needs to be born at the same time to be real.
Some things deepen by waiting.
Somatic Pause (Optional)
If it feels supportive, pause here for a moment.
Let your body settle.Notice where you feel most steady right now.
Ask gently — without answering in words:What wants to carry weight…and what wants to orbit?
Take one slow breath. No fixing. No sorting.
Just listening.

Have you ever felt your breath move through you — not just in and out, but deep within — as if life itself was guiding the rhythm?
The Art of Nourishing · The Forgotten Medicine of Breathwork
The first time I experienced Elemental Breathwork, I didn’t know what to expect. We moved through the four elemental breaths — Earth, Water, Fire, and Air — each carrying its own rhythm, its own intelligence.
After one of the cycles, I lay in stillness and felt energy pulling out from my left leg. I didn’t understand it then — I still don’t fully now — but I knew something within me was releasing, something ready to move.
Since then, breath has become both anchor and teacher. From the steady rhythm of Earth breath that grounds the body,to the fluid Water breath that soothes emotion,to the fiery Lion’s breath that clears stagnation, and the expansive Air breath that opens awareness.
Each one teaches presence in its own way — a gentle remembering that the breath is always here, waiting to bring us home.
Breathwork doesn’t need to be intense to be powerful. It only asks that you show up, soften, and breathe what is true.
Reflect: What breath practice helps you come back to centre — long exhales, humming bee, fire breath, or simply a deep sigh?

Breath of Stillness — Reflection: 14th Entry - Rest, Guilt, and the Permission to Exhale
I took a day off for my birthday last week. A full day with no work attached to it.No productivity. No output. Just presence.
And what surprised me wasn’t the rest — it was what followed.
The next day… and the day after… I noticed a quiet tension living in my body.
A subtle tightness in my gut. A familiar inner voice keeping score.
You’re behind. You shouldn’t have taken the day.Now everything is delayed.
Even though what filled the space instead was life:time with my son, pottery painting together, baking cookies to gift our neighbours — simple, human moments that make everything else meaningful.
Still, the guilt lingered.
It reminded me of early motherhood — how taking time for myself once felt almost wrong, as if care for self somehow took away from care for what mattered most.
What I’m noticing now is this:the guilt isn’t actually about the day off. It’s about an old agreement many of us carry — that our worth is measured by output, that rest must be earned, that slowing down is risky.
So when we pause, the nervous system tightens — not because something is wrong, but because something old is being questioned.
I didn’t try to fix the guilt.I didn’t argue with it or override it with logic.I simply noticed where it lived in my body and let my breath meet it.
And slowly… the tightness softened. Like an exhale that had been waiting.
I’m learning that unlearning productivity-as-worth is not a mental exercise. It’s a somatic one.
It happens breath by breath.Moment by moment. Each time we allow ourselves to rest without justifying it.
Somatic Practice — Exhaling Guilt, Receiving Rest
(Optional — take only what feels supportive)
If it feels right, pause for a moment. Sit or stand comfortably. Let your feet feel the ground beneath you. Bring one hand to your lower belly and one to your chest.
Without changing anything, notice your breath as it is. Now gently inhale through the nose… and exhale slowly through the mouth, as if fogging a mirror.
On the exhale, silently offer yourself this phrase(or one that feels true to you):
Nothing is being taken from me.
Again — inhale… and a long, soft exhale.
This pause is part of the work.
Notice if there is any tightness in the belly, the chest, the jaw.
You don’t need to release it. Just let your breath sit beside it.
One more breath — slow and unforced.
I am allowed to be human inside my own life.
When you’re ready, let your hands fall away.
There is nothing to accomplish here. Only something to remember.
Rest doesn’t always feel peaceful at first. Sometimes it feels like guilt loosening its grip.
And sometimes, that soft exhale is the most honest work we do.

Some forms of healing find you when you’re not ready for them — and return when you are.
The Art of Nourishing · The Forgotten Medicine of Reiki
I was first introduced to the idea of Reiki back in the fall of 2020.My mom was losing her battle with cancer, and one of my sister’s friends — who was on her own healing journey — offered to share Reiki with her.
She explained it as channeling universal life energy — guiding healing through the hands. At the time, I was still new to my own path, so I didn’t fully understand what that meant. It felt far-fetched… something beyond my reach.
After my yoga teacher training, though, I began exploring all forms of healing — and Reiki kept calling me back.Through my Level 1 and 2 attunements, I realized the truth: Reiki isn’t about fixing. It’s about allowing. About being the conduit through which energy remembers where to flow.
Now, I use Reiki gently — for myself when I need tender care, for my son, and even for my fur baby. It’s become a quiet language of love and trust — one that reminds me healing isn’t something we force; it’s something we let happen.
Reiki doesn’t heal for us.It helps us remember how to listen, soften, and receive.
Reflect: Have you ever experienced Reiki or energy work before? What did it feel like for you?

Breath of Stillness — Reflection: 13th Entry - A Birthday Reflection — Learning to Say Yes
Over the past few months — sometime around October or November — I began noticing something shift. Opportunities started appearing. Not the kind that fit neatly into my day-to-day life, but experiences that felt unfamiliar… stretching… a little outside the edges of who I’ve known myself to be.
The first one arrived quietly, through an email. A casting agency was looking for everyday women — real bodies, real faces — for a Dove commercial. I knew Dove’s values. I knew they celebrated bodies of all shapes and sizes. And my body responded immediately with a full yes.
And yet… I hesitated.
I did some research. The agency had mixed reviews. My mind stepped in — protective, cautious, logical. I talked myself out of applying.
Looking back, I see it clearly now: that moment wasn’t about the commercial. It was about learning the difference between intuition — and a nervous system that wasn’t ready yet.
My intuition said yes.My nervous system said, “Not yet.”
And maybe that was okay.
Maybe I wasn’t quite ready to step into that version of myself — yet.
Not long after, another opportunity appeared — this time through my son. He came home with a permission form for a school field trip: Grades 7 and 8 were going to a Toronto Raptors 905 game at Scotiabank Arena.
I’m not a sports person. I’d never been to a basketball game. And my son had never been to a live game of any sport.
Still, it felt like an easy yes. Then I kept reading — they needed parent volunteers. And again, I hesitated. Volunteering meant I’d need a vulnerable sector check. Paperwork. Time. Effort.
When I brought it up to my husband, he said simply, “So what? Just do it. Get it done.”
So I did. I got the check. I volunteered. And we went.
The day was a little chaotic — shepherding kids through crowds, keeping track of everyone — but no one was lost, the kids were respectful, and we shared something new together. My son even made it onto the big screen.
It felt like a quiet victory. Not because everything went perfectly, but because I showed up.
And then came the third invitation.
I saw an ad for a free photoshoot for Sagitaturist. I smiled immediately. That’s me. My birthday was coming up. I felt curious.
As I looked deeper, I learned the studio’s intention: to help women reconnect with their bodies through artistic, intimate photography — often in their birthday suit, softly draped, held with care and respect.
I watched the videos. I listened to the women share how the experience transformed the way they saw themselves. And something in me clicked.
This is my work. This is what I speak about. Honouring the body. Listening to it. Loving it — not someday, but now.
If I believe in this, if I invite others into this relationship with themselves, then I am also being asked to live it.
To walk the walk. Not just talk about embodiment — but choose it.
So I said yes.
I booked the session. I will step into that space on Tuesday, December 23.
And as I reflect now, I see the pattern clearly. When I hesitated the first time, the universe didn’t punish me. It simply offered another opportunity — one that felt a little easier, a little closer to home, so I could practice listening more closely.
Each invitation gently expanded my edge. Each yes carried me a little further from the familiar “safe” space and a little closer to becoming.
As I step into my 44th year on this earth, I do so with a quiet intention:to remain open.
Open to experiences I haven’t had yet.Open to being seen.Open to trusting my body’s wisdom even when my mind wants to slow me down.
I am learning that becoming isn’t about forcing myself forward. It’s about recognizing when life is offering me a doorway — and choosing, more often than not, to step through.
With curiosity.With courage.And with care.
If this reflection resonated, share in the comments:
Where is life inviting you to say yes — even gently, even imperfectly?
