From terminology and training to talent and tech –The Language Worker is a podcast for the humans behind multilingual communication.
In The Language Worker podcast, I dive into how the language industry really works: how multilingual content gets made, how terminology, technology, and talent come together, and how professionals adapt to constant change. Through honest, practical conversations, the guests and I explore the strategies, tools and decisions that shape translation, localization and language services today.
Born from my deep gratitude for a lifelong career in languages, this show brings together over 20 years of work across translation, localization, terminology, training, and talent management to reflect on how language shapes business and society. In each episode, I talk about my experience and vision or invite other experts from the Language Industry to share real-life experience, hard-earned knowledge and concrete ideas you can apply to your own work.
The Language Worker
All summer long, I am broadcasting from Portugal with a deep dive into the real-world practice of terminology management.
This Terminology Summer series explores how organizations actually manage language at scale: from corporate termbases and terminology governance to glossary development that people truly use. We will cover practical workflows, multilingual content consistency, localization strategies, and how to maintain linguistic quality across global markets.
I want your input. Tell me in the comments which topics you want covered next—whether it’s terminology workflows, governance models, termbase management, or glossary building best practices. Your suggestion might even be featured in a future episode.
This series is designed for CEOs, Managing Directors, Department Managers, Translators, Localization Managers, and content professionals who want to improve communication, streamline localization, and build scalable language processes.
The goal is to learn together and strengthen the role of terminology as a collaborative, strategic asset.
