About the Author – Jeremy Cox
Jeremy’s long career in book publishing included acting as Publicity Director and Marketing Director of the British publisher, Hutchinson. During that time, he worked with Anthony Burgess, Jonathan Miller, Kingsley Amis, Peter Ackroyd, Norman Mailer, Arthur Koestler, Alex Haley, Frederick Forsyth, Len Deighton and many more renowned authors, artists and thinkers.
He subsequently became the co-founder of Icon Books, publishing the famous Introducing Guides - graphic guides to the key figures in science, psychology, philosophy, economics, politics and cultural studies. While there, he commissioned Zia Sardar’s, Why do People Hate America, which became an international bestseller.
Anthony Burgess inspired Jeremy to write his first novel, The Girl in the Stone Coffin after he spent a summer holiday in Anthony’s home in the south of France. Jeremy followed this with The Burial Chamber, a thriller set in early 19th century London.
