Born in Paris in 1995, Noé Benita grew up in an artistic family. Initially drawn to percussion, he fell in love with drums, training in Parisian conservatories before refining his skills at HEMU Lausanne.
His influences range from 60s pop to hip-hop, R'N'B and soul, sparked by D'Angelo's Voodoo. He later explored Blake Mills' folk textures and the experimental jazz-electronic fusion of Sam Gendel and Jeff Parker. He draws inspiration from groove-driven drummers like Jim Keltner, Questlove, and Steve Gadd.
Noé has collaborated with many artists, bringing his hybrid drumming to La Chica & El Duende Orchestra, and touring Europe with Pearl & The Oysters (StonesThrow). In 2024, he played 50 dates with Aliocha Schneider, including L’Olympia, then toured with Papooz and Malik Djoudi, performing at major festivals.
In 2025, he recorded Charlie Winston’s album, produced by Mark Plati, ahead of a 100-date tour. That year, he also released an experimental jazz project with his band Fungi.
