Welcome to Posture Pilates. With just over 20 years of teaching experience I wanted to created a channel to help people with their Pilates knowledge, scope and practice. Whether you're a student or teacher I hope there is something on this channel for you.
I come from a theatre/dance background, in order to earn some cash whilst I was resting (being unemployed) I started teaching Pilates in the fitness industry. Whilst in fitness I developed a passion for Anatomy and Physiology, so upon hanging up the dance shoes (professionally, only!) I went to University and earned a BSc Honours Degree in Physiotherapy.
I now work full time as a Clinical Pilates Specialist, whilst still teaching fitness Pilates.
I've trained under many different teaching organisations: STOTTS, Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI), Body Control, The Pilates Institute and I’m a keen student of Joseph’s Classical method. I combine all of these differing style to suit my patients and clients needs.
