The Stereoscopic Society was founded in 1893. Its membership has a long tradition of capturing the world stereoscopically in 3D using ready made 3D cameras and self build equipment for over 125 years. Their interests range from digital 3D Audiovisual shows to digital and film 3D photography and making traditional stereo cards.
Many members have used film/analogue 3D cameras such as Stereo Realist, but most own and use digital 3D cameras; the Fuji W1 & W3 or 3D Video cameras by Sony and JVC. Many use digital Twin rigs with two cameras side by side fired simultaneously.
