Just Some Radios showcases some of the most beautiful vintage radios and transistors from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. With radios in every home, and often in more than one room, manufacturers competed by offering stunning art deco designs in a wide and sometimes jaw dropping array of colors. Gone were the boring brown wood and bakelite; replaced by colors to appeal to all.
We want to remember and highlight their original functionality- playing music!
These tube radios and transistors, often over 70 years old, still play. Some, to be fair, better than others. But the warm tube sound is unmistakable and nostalgic. Some of these videos are short clips just to demonstrate the sound while others are full length music videos with radios playing in their environment.
