Years ago, life's stress affected my body and mind. That stress took the form of nose bleeds, lasting on and off for about a year. Doctors couldn't help me, nor did the gym change my diet. I joined Yoga, and my nosebleeds stopped. Yoga has since been a very necessary part of my life. Yoga is life!

Whether relieving muscle tension, managing stress and trauma, or simply exercising to maintain your body, yoga is a magical way to do that. Here, we couple movement with breath. Please do not push your body; listen to it and move accordingly.

In the sanctuary, we unapologetically bring our whole selves to the mat. Be compassionate and speak love into your body.

Good morning beautiful people! I’lll be going to Cuba for a week so I won’t be posting this weekend or the next! Once I get back I’ll be shooting a video focusing on the lower back (shoutout to Antonio for suggesting this video)!

Strength vs Flexibility. I've always been flexible without placing too much attention on strength (building muscle). I've lately been building more muscle and guess what? I lost flexibility. The more I workout the more muscle I build, the less I stretch, the less flexible I get Lol! See the struggle? It's been challenging trying to find that balance but balance is key. Strength without flexibility will limit motion, also, flexibility without muscle isn't healthy in the long run because as we age, we lose muscle. So we gotta try to build muscle as well. Its a challenge to find that balance but I'm excited to take it on! Have you found that balance?

Hello everyone! Join me tomorrow at 7 am to play around with our balance. As adults we take walking for granted but once upon a time we were children who struggled with balance. After repeated practice here we are, balancing on one foot at a time as we walk. Let's try standing on one leg and holding that balance! Like walking, the more consistently we practice this, the better we become at it.
