Throughout the history of Rock & Roll there have existed creatures that dwell on the fringes.....in a twilight zone. Deranged visionaries who took their music to the edge and sometimes over it. True visionaries like The Cramps, Tim Warren & Miriam Linna/ Billy Miller have helped me discover these lost treasures and this crappy little channel is my attempt to spread this disease & pay tribute to their spirit that sadly lacks in today's homogenized, market researched safe-for-MTV music.
The Vip Vop Tapes, Forbidden City Dogfood & The Hollywood Strangler Meets The Crippled Masters Of Kung Fu represent a collection of personal "mix" cassette tapes that Lux Interior made for friends that include music from his & Ivy's many thrift store conquests threaded together by exploitation movie trailers & radio spots. Once I heard these tapes I FINALLY understood what The Cramps were about and I hope you do too.
