My name is Darren Scarfe, also known as 'The Barnsley Big Un', I started Powerlifting in 2023 and recently been given the honour and privilege of representing Great Britain in the IPF World Masters Championships in Sun City, South Africa in October 2024 and the EPF European Championships in Albi, France in February 2025. Here in the World Championship I finished a respectable 4th and helped the Team GB to get Silver and a myself a bronze in the deadlift. In Europe's I secured 6th place with a Bronze in the Bench Press with the Team GB securing Gold.

The IPF is recognized as the most respected federation in the world as well as the largest powerlifting organization in the world because of their standards of competition.

Looking to always improve and inspire, I hope to prove that age is just a number and you can still achieve great things.
