Come along for a design and remodeling journey with me. I will take you through the entire process of renovation a 1950's cape cod on the shores of lake Michigan in Whitefish Bay Wisconsin. My husbands parents lived in this house for 20 years. With loads of memories made in this home where our children spent their holidays and had birthday dinners we understood the untapped potential of this property. It happens to be a rare home with first floor living in an established city suburb of Milwaukee. Our goal over the course of 2 remodeling phases is to have a home that we can live fully on the first floor as we age but have the perfect second floor to accept guests, grown kids, and- god willing, their families in the future.
