I’m an Appalachian storyteller dedicated to sharing the rich culture, history, and folklore of Appalachia. Through deep dives into mountain life, old legends, dialect and the people who keep these traditions alive, I bring you authentic stories of the mountains passed down through generations.

I explore places left behind by time and history and take you along with me from crumbling cabins and abandoned towns to historic graveyards and hidden hollers. I bring the past to life by showing you real photographs of old Appalachia, once long lost to time and tucked away in the bottom drawers of forgotten closets.

I write a weekly column for 9 newspapers across Southwest Virginia and West Virginia, giving voice to the real experiences and untold histories of these mountains.
