' ಪದ ' ಚಲನೆ ಮತ್ತು ರೂಪಾಂತರ ತತ್ವಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿರುವ ಭಿನ್ನ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಸಮೂಹ. ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಎಚ್ಚರ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬಿಸುವ ಕಾಯಕವನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಂಗೀತವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಜೀವಂತಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕೈ ಜೋಡಿಸುತ್ತ ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ಜೀವ ತತ್ವ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸುವ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತ ನಾವಿರುವ ನೆಲದ ಮತ್ತು ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜನ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ಬದುಕಿನ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬೆರೆತು ಹೋಗುವುದು ಜಂಗಮ 'ಪದ'ದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ತುಡಿತ.
