Thuga (born Junior Roy Clarke) is a rising dancehall artist representing Eight Miles, now based in Ocho Rios. His passion for music sparked early — at just five years old he was already performing karaoke and attending local concerts, soaking up the sounds that surrounded him. Influenced by icons like Eminem, Tupac, Vybz Kartel, and Bob Marley, he grew up with a diverse palette of music that would later shape his own style.

At sixteen, Thuga recorded his first track, Bad Blood (2010), a song that quickly spread through his hometown and neighboring communities, cementing his place as an artist to watch. Since then, he has continued to refine his craft, blending the lyrical sharpness of hip hop with the raw energy of dancehall and the soul of reggae.

With a sound that’s both versatile and authentic, Thuga stands out as a unique voice in the new wave of Jamaican music — bridging genres while staying rooted in his culture and story.
