Center of Excellence in Data Science and AI
In 2014, New York State established the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Data Science at the University of Rochester. The CoE is dedicated to supporting businesses in New York through the application of data science methods and tools that solve challenges and deliver critical insights. It is funded by the New York State Department of Economic Development’s Division of Science, Technology, and Innovation (NYSTAR) and housed in the Goergen Institute for Data Science at the University of Rochester. The NYSTAR CoE program helps drive regional and statewide economic development by supporting basic research, training, and technology development.
