Cindy Claes is an Athletic Creative. All her creative ventures have an athletic component and all her athletic prouesses are a foundation to her artistic expression.
Actress, she is specialised in Screen Fighting, Dance, Choreography. She is also a slam poet and a Playwright. She worked in London, Spain, Belgium, USA, Jamaica, the Caribbean and all over Europe, collecting invaluable experiences along the way.
She choreographed and directed full-length Dance Theatre Productions such as "Voices in the Alleyway", "School Fi Wifey", "PuzzelB" and "Is My Whining Winding You Up?". Cindy is an award-winning choreographer:
- "Lisa Ullmann Traveling Scholarship Fund "(2008).
- "Bonnie Bird"and "ADAD" (2009).
- "Bonnie Bird UK New Choreography Award" (2010).
- "Arts Council England (Grant for the Arts)" in 2013/2014.
- "ADAD Trailblazer Fellowship" (2013-14), to create an international dance exchange between Jamaica and the UK.
- "Prijs Roger Van der Voorde" (Belgium -2014).
