Since 2009, we’ve gone looking for musicians in small towns the music industry never visits. We’ve recorded nearly two thousand of them. Sixty have gone on to real recognition: national television, film, stages in eighty countries. We were there first.
Explore our collections: Music Changes Lives — the story of those sixty — along with Maestros in Studio, Mast Qalandars, Rangley Punjabis, Indian Melodies, Roots Bengal and The Martial Music Archives, spanning Hindustani, Carnatic, Punjabi folk, Rajasthani folk, Baul and Sufi traditions.
The Peninsula Studios is the work of Subroto Chattopadhyay, Sita Raina, Anil Srinivasan, Avinash Chordia, Narinder Tawakley, Zahid Khan, Ananya Rane, Neel Adhikari, Anil P. Dere, Ratan J. Batliboi and Aneesh Jain.
