Hopeful Sixteen
Hopeful Sixteen is an Alt/Metalcore band hailing from Quebec City, Canada. From its inception in 2015, the lineup didn’t fully come together until 2017 with the release of their sophomore EP “Still Alive”, which garnered enough traction to open up opportunities that weren’t readily available beforehand. As aficionados of classic film and old-school horror aesthetics, Hopeful Sixteen incorporate a surreal “noire” atmosphere in their live performances and studio recordings, as made clear by their latest EP “Delusion” released in 2020 (produced by Kevin Jardine of Slaves On Dope), which marked a turning point in their songwriting. In the same year, Hopeful Sixteen reached a long sought after landmark by signing their first label contract with DI RECORDS, which proved to be a breakthrough in terms of promotion and international presence. The band will spend the upcoming year working off this upswing, writing new material and promoting their singles and live shows to new audiences.
